IFS – International Food Standard
In addition to its own laboratory, certificate for organic production and Global Gap Standards, Iceberg Salat Centar received an IFS certificate – the International Standard for Quality Control and Food Safety in July of this year.
IFS is a standard developed to test the competence of food manufacturers in terms of safety as well as food quality. IFS, is based on the principle of traceability – the ability to “monitor” the quality and safety of the product, from producer to end user, at all times, during every stage of production and distribution.
Employing the IFS standard builds consumer confidence and protects their interests by producing safe, high quality products, whilst also improving cost efficiency and overall turnover in the food production chain.
